Cameron Facilities delivers excellent and reliable mining camp management in Perth and across Australia

Integrated Village & Life Support Services

At Cameron Facilities, we provide fully integrated mining camp management solutions that support operational continuity, workforce wellbeing, and compliance excellence in remote and high-risk environments.

A remote village is not simply accommodation. It is a live operational ecosystem that directly influences safety outcomes, workforce morale, retention, productivity, and contractor performance. Poorly managed camps create operational risk. Professionally managed environments create stability and performance.

We deliver structured, accountable, and scalable village management designed to support long-term project success.

    OPERATIONAL GOVERNANCE & SYSTEMS

We are structured as an emerging but aggressively scalable provider, operating with Tier-1 governance discipline while maintaining the agility of a privately led organisation.

    Our operational governance includes:

    ISO-aligned management systems
    Defined KPIs with measurable reporting
    Structured toolbox and safety engagement
    Workforce training pathways
    Budget transparency and cost control
    Indigenous engagement integration
    Subcontractor performance monitoring

We take ownership beyond scope. Our leadership team actively manages the camp environment as a performance asset, not simply a cost centre.

Remote camp management is essential to staff and companies as well. Cameron Facilities provides these services.

WORKFORCE WELLBEING AS A STRATEGIC ADVANTAGE

Remote operations place significant mental and physical pressure on workers. We view wellbeing not as a luxury, but as a productivity strategy.

Our Wellness and Mental Health Program is designed to include:

Tai Chi and Kung Fu sessions delivered by Master Si Fu
    Structured group physical training
    Mental health awareness initiatives
Engagement programs designed to reduce isolation
Healthy menu planning and nutrition focus

These initiatives support stronger morale, improved retention, and a more cohesive workforce culture.

In high-turnover mining environments, wellbeing becomes a commercial advantage.

    SCALABILITY & LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP

Cameron Facilities is built for growth. Our systems, governance structure, and leadership model are designed to scale alongside client operations — from smaller regional sites to large multi-service mining environments.

We partner with clients for the long term, focusing on:

    Stability of workforce
    Reduced operational disruption
    Cost predictability
    Continuous improvement
    Transparent reporting

Customized Wellness Plans within our Mining Camp Management services

To ensure every program is perfectly suited to your team’s needs, Si Fu Gawain Siu, the principal and Master at Ging Mo Academy, personally visits your mine site. By assessing the environment and meeting with your team, he crafts a tailored plan that aligns with the specific challenges and goals of your location.

The programme is built around holistic health because that is what the evidence on this workforce points to. Visit our Wellness and Mental Health Program page for more details on how we can elevate your camp’s well-being.

    What Camp Management Services Cover

Village services are usually bought either as one integrated contract or as separate functions, and the right answer depends less on preference than on how much capacity the site has to coordinate several contractors at once. The full scope covers accommodation and room allocation, housekeeping and laundry, the mess and crib service, camp maintenance, potable water and wastewater, waste, grounds, recreation facilities, and the compliance and reporting over all of it.

The argument for a single operator is accountability. When housekeeping, maintenance and catering sit with three companies, a room that will not cool at two in the morning becomes a question of whose fault it is rather than how quickly it gets fixed. One accountable operator removes the gap, and removes the duplicated management overhead each separate contractor prices in.

    How These Contracts Are Structured

Most Western Australian camp agreements combine a fixed monthly management and labour component with a variable per person per day rate for consumable services such as catering and housekeeping, with a mobilisation charge at the front. Three things decide whether the contract works commercially for both sides: the committed occupancy, the bands around it, and the notice period.

Occupancy is what sinks these contracts. A contractor pricing on three hundred who is then asked to run the same service for one hundred and twenty cannot reduce cost proportionately, because the management team, the kitchen crew and the plant operators are largely fixed. Either the contractor absorbs a loss, which eventually shows as reduced service, or the client faces a repricing conversation mid term. The honest structure states the committed number, sets bands either side, and prices each band.

    Taking Over From an Incumbent

A change of camp contractor happens while the village is full and the operation continues. There is no window in which it can be closed. A managed transition deals with the workforce question first, because many of the people on site will transfer and need certainty about their terms before handover, then the asset condition record, the open maintenance backlog, stock on hand, supplier and freight arrangements, statutory records, and the systems the new team will use from day one.

The most common failure in a camp transition is an asset condition record nobody agreed. Without one, every fault found in the first month becomes an argument about whether it was inherited or caused. Establishing it jointly before handover protects both sides.

    Exploration and Short Term Camps

Not every site is a permanent village. Exploration programs, drilling campaigns and short term construction camps need the same food safety and safety discipline at a smaller scale, often with a single cook and a compact crew. We scale the service without scaling the standards down, and we can mobilise at short notice where a program is brought forward or an incumbent has failed.

    Where We Work

Across Western Australia including the Pilbara, the Goldfields and Esperance region, the Mid West and the Kimberley, with centralised procurement, logistics and senior oversight from Perth. We can take the full integrated scope or a single function such as catering or housekeeping.

Questions Worth Asking Any Camp Contractor

    • What committed occupancy is in your price, and what happens at plus or minus twenty per cent?
    • Which roles are on site permanently, which visit, and who covers absence?
    • How do you manage potable water verification and wastewater compliance, and who holds the licences?
    • What does your monthly report contain, and can we see a real example?
    • How do you record asset condition at handover and at handback?
    • What is your mobilisation plan and how long from award?
    • What notice period applies to each party, and are they matched?
    • Do your insurances include products liability for the catering function?
