A mining camp cleaning contract is judged on one thing above all others: whether a room is ready when a worker arrives. Everything else is secondary. On changeover day the crew turns rooms between an outgoing and an incoming shift, inside the window between a bus arriving and a pre start, and there is no slack in it. The discipline is closer to hotel housekeeping than to commercial cleaning, but with fewer rooms in reserve and a workforce that has just travelled a long way.
The Room Readiness Standard

The Things That Are Different in a Remote Camp
Chemicals and consumables arrive by road on a resupply cycle, so running out is not recoverable by a trip to the shops and par levels have to carry the realistic worst case. Dust is constant and it changes how often surfaces need attention. In the wet, humidity and mould become a real problem in rooms and ablutions rather than a cosmetic one. Pest control is an ongoing service and not an annual visit.
