Cameron Facilities has cleaned the common areas of a mixed use apartment building in Leederville, under contract with the owners, for more than two years. This is what a scheduled clean covers, and how we show the owners it was done.
The Situation
An apartment building's common areas are used around the clock by residents, visitors, movers and the ground floor tenancy. Owners want them clean before the day starts, and they want to see it.
Our report on the full scheduled clean of 27 March 2026, prepared by our Managing Director after an early morning inspection before residents began their day, records every area with photographs.
What We Did
- Cleaned and polished both lifts, from the stainless panels and control panels to the floor tiles, and fitted protective blankets at the request of building management for a resident move in.
- Mopped the corridors on every residential level and wiped down the window seals, sills, winders and lower skirtings.
- Cleaned and mopped the ground floor walkway, the front entrance tiles, the bin room and the car park tiles, cleared leaf litter from the car park entry ramp and checked the car park stairwell.
- Cleaned and disinfected the shower rooms and toilet blocks.
- Flagged a ground floor fire door to the car park found propped open, noting that fire doors must stay closed to keep fire compartmentation.
- Earlier in the year, swept every level of the car park.
The Outcome
- A photographic record. Every area in the March report was marked complete and backed by photographs.
- A clean result at the next check. At the post clean inspection on 26 August 2026 all nine areas passed, from the entrance and stairwell to the lift interiors, bin room and exit signs, with no defects and no further action required.
- Still going strong. The scheduled cleaning has continued every month through to October 2026.
