Reliable Remote Camp Water and Wastewater Management for Mining Camps in Perth and WA

Cameron Facilities manages water and wastewater treatment systems for mining camps and remote accommodation villages across Western Australia, ensuring that potable water quality, wastewater treatment performance, and environmental discharge standards are maintained in full compliance with regulatory requirements. In remote environments where reticulated municipal water and sewerage services do not exist, the reliable operation and maintenance of on-site water infrastructure is a critical health, safety, and environmental obligation.

Our water management services include the operation and maintenance of potable water treatment plants (filtration, chlorination, UV disinfection, reverse osmosis), raw water supply infrastructure (bores, storage tanks, pumping systems), water quality testing and monitoring against the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) and the National Health and Medical Research Council standards, and reporting of water quality results to your site management and, where required, to the Department of Health (WA).

Our wastewater management scope encompasses the operation of sewage treatment plants (extended aeration, membrane bioreactor, and sequencing batch reactor systems), effluent quality monitoring against licence conditions, greywater recycling where environmentally and economically viable, sludge management and disposal, and compliance with discharge conditions set by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914.

All water and wastewater operations are managed under our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, with defined operating procedures, competency requirements, calibration schedules for monitoring equipment, and incident response protocols. Our operators hold the relevant water treatment qualifications and are trained in the specific requirements of each plant under our care. We maintain spare parts inventories for critical equipment to minimise the risk of extended outages in remote locations where supply lead times can be measured in days rather than hours.

Cameron Facilities manages water and wastewater systems for camps across the Pilbara, Goldfields, Midwest, and Kimberley regions. Clean drinking water and effective wastewater treatment are fundamental to workforce health and environmental protection—and we treat them with the seriousness they demand. Our monthly compliance reports provide your environmental and operations teams with the data required for internal governance, regulatory reporting, and community stakeholder assurance.
